Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second verification step in addition to a password. Even if a password becomes compromised, 2FA significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

Benefits

  • Protects administrator accounts.
  • Reduces the impact of stolen passwords.
  • Improves overall platform security.
  • Recommended for all privileged users.

How 2FA Works

  1. Enter your username and password.
  2. Provide the verification code from your authenticator application.
  3. Access is granted after successful verification.

Recovery

Store recovery codes in a secure location. They can be used if your authenticator device is unavailable.

Best Practices

  • Enable 2FA for all administrator accounts.
  • Do not share recovery codes.
  • Review trusted devices regularly.
  • Remove lost devices immediately.

Note: If 2FA is not yet available in your installation, this article serves as preparation for a future release.
