If a user forgets their password or is unable to access their account, administrators can issue a secure password reset. For security reasons, passwords should never be shared by email or stored in plain text.

Reset a Password

  1. Open User Management.
  2. Select the user account.
  3. Choose Reset Password.
  4. Generate or assign a temporary password.
  5. Ask the user to change it immediately after signing in.

Security Recommendations

  • Use strong passwords.
  • Require unique passwords for every account.
  • Never reuse administrator passwords.
  • Enable additional security features whenever available.

Best Practice

Only administrators should perform password resets. Always verify the user's identity before issuing a new password.
