Password requirements

Use a long, unique password for every Artist OS account. A password manager is the safest way to generate and store credentials.

  • Prefer at least 14 characters.
  • Use a unique password that is not used on another website.
  • Avoid names, release titles, company names and predictable dates.
  • Never send passwords through ordinary email or chat.

Administrator accounts

Administrator credentials require additional care because they can affect users, branding and platform data. Do not share one administrator login between multiple people.

Credential exposure

Change a password immediately when it may have been exposed, reused or shared with someone who no longer needs access.

Password storage

Store credentials in a reputable password manager. Do not save passwords in spreadsheets, unprotected notes or browser profiles used by several people.
