What is a DSP?

A digital service provider, commonly shortened to DSP, is a platform where listeners can stream, discover or use music. Examples include streaming services, social platforms and music-recognition services.

Distribution and artist accounts are different

EGMW delivers your approved release and metadata to the selected platforms. Your separate artist account on a DSP may give you access to profile editing, analytics, pitching tools or audience information.

Delivery does not create your personal login

Your release may already be live while you still need to claim or verify the artist profile through the platform’s own artist portal.

Before claiming a profile

  • Wait until at least one release is visible on the platform.
  • Make sure you select the correct artist page.
  • Have your official website and social profiles ready for verification.
  • Use an email address that you control long term.

When a release appears on the wrong artist page

Do not create a duplicate release. Collect the release URL, the incorrect artist-page URL and the correct artist-page URL, then contact EGMW Support so a mapping correction can be requested.
