No. Artist OS can be used through its official onboarding address. A custom domain is mainly useful for branding and easier access.

Should I use a domain or a subdomain?

A subdomain such as portal.yourdomain.com is usually the simplest option because it does not replace the main website.

Why is my change not visible immediately?

DNS information is cached across the internet. Different devices and networks may update at different times.

Can I close the DNS page after saving?

Yes. The record continues to propagate after it has been saved.

Can I use the domain before HTTPS works?

No. Continue using the temporary URL until the custom domain opens securely without a browser warning.

Will changing my domain affect Artist OS data?

The stored Artist OS information is separate from the public web address. However, old bookmarks and shared login links may stop working.
