What propagation means

After saving a DNS record, internet providers and DNS resolvers need time to refresh their cached information. The change may work on one connection before it works on another.

What to do while waiting

  • Confirm that the record was saved correctly.
  • Leave the record unchanged while it is propagating.
  • Continue using the temporary Artist OS URL.
  • Try again later or test from another network.
Avoid repeated edits

Deleting and recreating the record can restart the waiting period and make troubleshooting more difficult.

When to investigate

If the domain still does not connect after a reasonable waiting period, compare the record type, host and target with the setup instructions and check for conflicting records.
