Changing to a new domain

  1. Confirm that the temporary onboarding URL still works.
  2. Add and prepare the new custom domain.
  3. Create its DNS record.
  4. Wait for DNS and HTTPS to become active.
  5. Test the new address completely.
  6. Inform users before retiring the old address.
  7. Remove the old DNS record only when it is no longer needed.

Removing a custom domain

Before removing the domain, make sure users know which address they must use next. Keep the temporary onboarding URL available as a fallback.

Shared links may stop working

Bookmarks, emails and documents containing the old login address will need to be updated.
