Overview

This guide explains the recommended migration procedure when moving Artist OS to a new server.

Before you begin

  • Create a fresh backup.
  • Verify the backup archive.
  • Prepare the new hosting environment.
  • Lower DNS TTL if changing domains.

Migration Steps

  1. Upload the latest backup.
  2. Restore website files.
  3. Restore the database.
  4. Update configuration if required.
  5. Test the installation before going live.
  6. Switch DNS to the new server.
Important

Do not delete the old server until the new installation has been fully tested.

Post Migration Checklist

  • Login works.
  • Uploads are available.
  • Email functions correctly.
  • SSL certificate is active.
  • Scheduled tasks are configured.
